The Course

Dromos is built on a handful of words. None of them are complicated, but together they change how you see your whole life. Take them one at a time.

01
Course

Every believer has a course.

The Greek word dromos means course, the lifelong path God has ordained for your life. It is not a career, a title, or a destination you're searching for.

You don't discover your course like buried treasure. You walk it, one season at a time.

02
Design

Your design doesn't change.

Your design remains remarkably consistent throughout your life, but every role enlarges your ability to fulfill it.

God uses each season to increase your dependency on Him, refine your gifts, deepen your faith, shape your character, and prepare you for greater faithfulness in the roles to come.

03
Roles

A role is an invitation to express your design.

In each role, God invites you to glorify Him through the way He designed you: to say "Yes" to how He created you, and to trust that what you bring is enough.

You hold several roles at a time. Together, they form your Station.

Station

Your Station is the full set of roles you hold right now. It is where God has placed you in this season of your course, and where your design is meant to be lived out today.

04
People

Every role comes with people.

God rarely places you somewhere without also entrusting people to you. Relationship is how your design gets expressed.

Some will walk with you for years. Some for a season. All of them matter.

05
Dromos

Put a name to it: living on your dromos.

God ordains a course, and you're in roles along it. Every role brings people, and your design is how you express your Creator. Your dromos is all of it, together.

Roles change. Your design remains. The course continues: know it, walk it, finish well.

06
One Life, Mapped

Same design. Many roles. One course.

Each band is one role, laid across its years. Some seasons have closed. Some are still open: still a husband, still a father, still a neighbor. And where the Today line falls, you can read a whole Station at a glance. One course, one direction, to the finish.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 2:10

The Greek word for workmanship is poiēma, the word we get poem from. Before there is a course to walk, there is a Creator who joyfully imagined and created the one who will walk it.

This is what Circles are for: knowing your design, in community.
